The foundation stone for the present-day enterprise Schneiders Bekleidung GmbH was laid in 1946 with the opening of the Schneiders Mantelfabrik in Salzburg. Ever since then the Schneiders brand has achieved renown for the manufacture of contemporary and exclusive fashion-wear. The enterprise aims to offer a stylish combination of tradition, excellent quality and fashionable trends.
Clothing should enhance the individuality of the wearer and be an expression of personal lifestyle. In 1987 a new collection was introduced under the name Amadeus Fashion GmbH, combining classic and top quality avant-garde features. First-class Austrian creations are produced in particular for the export markets.
A third line was presented in 1992 bearing the name Habsburg, with its rich historical associations. Noblesse oblige was the guiding principle for the design of traditional hunting and social clothing based on models from the imperial era. The Kleidermanufaktur Habsburg GmbH is in the process of becoming a lifestyle concept.
Schneiders has a staff of 300 with two production sites in Austria and various contractual subsidiaries in nearby foreign countries (Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania) that all guarantee a high standard of exclusive quality.
85% of the entire production of all three brands – Schneiders, Amadeus and Habsburg – is exported worldwide, primarily to Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Great Britaiin, the USA, Japan and Russia.
Distribution takes place through exclusive specialist retail stores and international flagship stores such as Harrods, Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf and Goodman, Cenci, Old England / Paris, Lodenfrey Munich.
It is planned to make the Schneiders brand even more widely known internationally and develop shopping and branch concepts.
